§ 4-5. Alcoholic beverage in taxicabs.

It shall be unlawful for any person operating a taxicab to have in his/her possession any alcoholic beverage, either opened or unopened. Any driver of a taxicab shall have such driver's permit revoked upon a violation of this provision in the event such driver shall possess any such beverage.Nothing in this section, however, shall prohibit the driver to knowingly allow the passenger of a taxicab to possess any unopened containers of such beverages.
